WHAT'S NEW ?
- Our Guestbook feature was changed to act as a Guestbook and Message Board.
Reason: The company that furnished the message board free of charge discontinued that service.
NOTE: The date may be entered in any desired manner, up to 20 characters. i.e.: August 30, 2002,
- Some of the pictures taken during the july 11, 2001 Racug Meeting were posted
and at the same time a link to a new SEARCH ENGINE (IXQUICK) WAS added.
- A "green" link to LOCAL WEATHER was placed in our main page.
Also a link was placed in the cool links category to a weather
radar map that shows the direction of storms,
and the search engine
SNAP was changed to its new name: NBCi.
- A "red" link to a SIG SURVEY was placed in our main page, asking Racug members
to tell the Digital Photography and Web Page Editing SIG their feelings and degree of interest
in various areas that could be covered during the monthly SIG meetings.

NEXTGEN TECH Q&A
This feature is called Computer Questions and Answers and is based on the presentations that
Doug Ballance makes at RACUG meetings. He will also include subjects that he feels are of value
to computer users. This feature is really a Message Board in which questions or comments may be
posted after proper registration is performed.

DATA FORMATS AND THEIR FILE EXTENSIONS web site
that Doug Ballance from Next Gen Services mentioned on the February 7 meeting
was included in the links / computer technical section of the RACUG home page.
Other sites on the same subject can be found by entering such key words
as files suffix into a search engine.
- Links to 3 picture albums were placed on a message in the message board and
on the January 2001 Racug Activities page. These albums are an example of what is
discussed at the meetings of the Digital Photography and Web Page Editing special interest group.
- MESSAGE BOARD
A message board was included in our web site.
This board was found on the internet by Fritz Corbin and will be used as
a vehicle for information interchange between Racug members. At a later time
we will probably use a message board being developed by Doug Ballance of
NextGen Services. Feel free to enter your inquires and ANSWER
questions made by your fellow members. Even though this board and our
web site is accessible to the internet world, chances are that access will
be made mainly by Racug members.
