This Special interest group was only recently created and is still in the process of organizing. Members of this group meet to share ideas and knowledge about genealogy subjects and to seek information and techniques for using computers and the internet for genealogy research and publication. A date and time for regular monthly meetings of this SIG are pending. Persons interested in joining this SIG are invited to contact Sheila.

IMAGE FILES AND WEB PAGE EDITING

This group provides a forum where members may exchange ideas, experience and knowledge about image files and web page publication. Image files, scanned or downloaded often require careful processing before being published. Methods of publishing images and web pages will be covered, such as picture album programs, web page generators and editors, as well as HTML (HyperText Markup Language) AND FTP (File Tranfer Protocol).
Location and topic of meetings will be on an as desired basis, i.e., before monthly Racug meetings, one to one sessions, group meetings, e-mail exchange, telephone conversations, etc. Contact Jorge for arrangements. The meetings can also be open to discussion on any computer subject.
