Basic HTML Tags - Page 6

How to make text display larger or smaller on a web page.

The font tag is used to make text be displayed
in a larger or smaller size on a web page.
The font tag can have several attributes: size and color are two
commonly used attributes. A font size can be expressed by the numbers 1 through 7
with 1 being the smallest and 7 being the largest. In the example below,
we are using font size 6 for a beginning caption. Each of the remaining
three sentences are displayed in a different font size as shown below.
<html> <head> <title>Page 6</title> </head> <body> <center> <font size=6>A Sample Web Page of Text</font> <table><tr><td> <font size=2>This is an example of text placed on a web page.</font> <br> <font size=3>The quick brown fox jumped over the <br>lazy dog's back 0123456789 times.</font> <br> <font size=4>That sentence is one used many years ago <br>by teletype repairmen to test <br> their machines because it uses all 26 <br>letters of the alphabet and all 10 digits.</font> </td></tr></table> </center> </body> </html>
