Required Training

All Missouri county coroners are required to complete a minimum twenty (20) hours of classroom instruction each calendar year relating to the operations of the coroner's office. Those coroners not completing the minimum required twenty hours of training and be approved by the professional association of county coroners of Missouri will have $1000.00 deducted from the salary authorized by Missouri state statute.

 

Training Dates

The Missouri Coroners and Medical Examiners Association have scheduled the 2008 Fall and 2009 Spring training conference dates. The MCMEA offers two (2) training conferences yearly, a spring and fall session. The registration fees for these conferences are $325.00 and this includes all training materials and handouts for the course. If you are interested in attending a seminar conducted by the Missouri Coroners and Medical Examiners Association at the end of the session all attendees receive a certificate accrediting 20 hours of medicolegal investigation training.
