Julia Bick, Daughter of J. P. Daniel and Johanna Bick
In the 1900 census, Julia said she came to the US in 1857. She married
Ferdinand Schueddig on October 10th, 1861 when she was 23 years old.
Her marriage age is based upon an 1838 birth date.

As of July 2005, neither she nor any of the Bick family has been found on
immigrant passenger lists. She first appears in the St. Louis City census
in 1870 with her husband Ferd., age 33. Ferdinand's occupation is difficult to read
but appears to be "Stone cutter, Tool Manufacturer." In 1870, they have real estate
valued at $10,000 and personal property valued $3,500 and Julia and Ferdinand
are the parents of one child, Bernard, age seven.

Julia and Ferdinand, with additional children, are listed in the 1880 census and the
1900 census of St. Louis City. Ferdinand's occupation in 1880 is "Tool
manufaturer:" and in 1900 is "Overseer." In both 1880 and 1900,
son Charley's occupation is "blacksmith" and in 1900, son Ben's occupation is
"blacksmith."

Ferdinand Schueddig does not appear with Julia on the 1910 census so it is
assumed he died before the May 22, 1910 census was taken.
