Johanna Maria Lenz was born September 14, 1812 and married Johan Peter Daniel Bick on May 13, 1835. Both of these dates are from entries in the Bick Bible. The following children are entered in the Bible. 1. Bernhard Bick born 1 M (May?), 1836, 6 a.m. 2. Julia Bick born june 14, 1838, 4 p.m. 3. Bernhard Bick born 1? /12?, March 1841, 7 a.m. 4. Karl Bick born October 7, 1843, 9 a.m. 5. Augusta Emma Bick born April 25, 1850, 4 a.m.

The following funeral notice and obituary appeared in the St. Louis Republican newspaper when Johanna Lenz Bick died in 1905. One of the German newspapers also printed the obituary in German.
