Starting March 5 and going through April 7, Fidelity will be changing e-mail servers in order to better serve you. This will require some simple configuration changes on your end. We apologize for any inconvenience, but the result will be a more secure service and increased storage.
In order to continue receiving your Fidnet and Fidmail e-mail, it is very important that you follow these instructions to avoid any interruption in service. Fidelity Communications has partnered with Google to provide Fidelity customers with an enhanced e-mail experience. This partnership will cut down on the number of phishing e-mails, help prevent blacklist problems, and give you over 6GB of online e-mail storage. Fidelity Webmail, now powered by Google Gmail, has many innovative features that we believe Fidelity customers will benefit from.
Don't worry. Your e-mail address will not change.
* For the next month your e-mail will function just like it has. However, you must complete these steps any time
from now until April 7, 2008, in order to continue using your Fidnet or Fidmail e-mail account.
Once you access Fidelity's Gmail interface, your new e-mail will only be accessible though Gmail. You will be unable to receive new e-mail using the old Webmail interface and you will be unable to receive new e-mail using the e-mail client (such as Outlook Express) on your computer until some configuration changes have been made to your e-mail client. For customers that do not use Fidnet or Fidmail e-mail addresses, no change is necessary. Also, customers that host domains with Fidelity will not need to change any settings for their domains at this time.
Additionally, if you use Webmail exclusively and have your e-mail stored on our servers, we can, after the initial setup, import your old e-mail into the new storage location if you like.
So let's get started! Please follow the instructions in the order they are presented.
If you completed step #3, select the e-mail client you wish to configure:
